Ja Rule Biography and Career:

Ja Rule was born and raised in Queens, New York City. During his early years, his mother, Debra Atkins, and grandparents took care of him and his brothers. Because his mother is a Jehovah’s Witness, he grew up understanding and embracing their principles.

Due to his small stature, he was forced to attend Public School 134, where he was regularly picked on and pulled into fights.
