Jorja Smith Biography and Career:

Singer Jorja Alice Smith was born in England on June 11, 1997. She was raised in Walsall, West Midlands, and began creating songs when she was 11 years old. Smith’s friend covered Labrinth’s “Earthquake” in 2012, and she posted it to YouTube, where it was found by music producer Guy Moot. She signed with Sony/ATV in 2016 and released two EPs in 2016 and 2017 after her first two singles gained more attention.In 2018, she released her debut studio album, Lost & Found, to much praise.

It peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. Smith was the recipient of the Brit Critics’ Choice Award in the same year. She received the Brit Award for Best British Female Artist in 2019 and a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Artist.
