Kathie Lee Gifford Biography and Career:
She was christened Kathryn Lee Epstein by her mother Joan Epstein (a former military secretary turned radio vocalist) and father Aaron Epstein (a former US Navy Chief Petty Officer). A Russian Jew from Saint Petersburg, Gifford’s paternal grandmother was of Native American ancestry, and her grandfather was a Russian Jew from Moscow.
