Hillsboro Hops Biography and Career:
In addition to being situated in Hillsboro, Oregon, which is part of the greater Portland metropolitan area, the Hillsboro Hops are a Minor League Baseball franchise. Currently, they are members of the American League’s Northwest Division. It is due to their affiliation with the Arizona Diamondbacks that they are considered members of the High-A-West and play in the division known as the Hops. The stadium where they play their home games, Ron Tonkin Field, was constructed in 2013 and has been in use since then. Despite poor development on a new ballpark to replace their subpar home field, the Yakima Bears of the Northwest League began looking into relocation options as early as 2011 despite the team’s mediocre home field.
